Pakenham test centre

We know this test centre well

Pakenham is where our students sit their drive tests, and that familiarity matters more than most learners realise. Test routes are drawn from the roads immediately surrounding the centre, so the more time you have spent driving them, the fewer surprises there are.
By the time you sit your test with us, you will have driven those roundabouts, those intersections and those parking spots repeatedly. The assessment stops feeling like an exam and starts feeling like another lesson.
Before test day

Make sure you are eligible

Check these before you book. Turning up without them means the test does not go ahead.

You need a current Victorian learner permit. If you are under 21, VicRoads requires 120 hours of supervised driving experience recorded in your logbook, including at least 20 hours at night. Drivers 21 and over are not subject to the 120-hour requirement. Always confirm the current rules on the VicRoads website before booking, as requirements can change.

You book the drive test directly with VicRoads and pay their fee. Once you have a confirmed date and time at Pakenham, call us on 0412 503 192 to reserve the car for that slot. Do this as early as you can – popular times fill up.

Your learner permit, your logbook, glasses or contact lenses if your permit requires them, and flat comfortable shoes. Arrive early enough not to be rushing.

Yes. Our vehicle is roadworthy, fully registered and insured, and fitted with dual controls, which meets the VicRoads requirements for a test vehicle. It is also the same car you will have been learning in.

You can rebook with VicRoads after their required waiting period. We will go through the assessor report with you, target the specific items that were marked down, and get you back out on the road. Failing once is common and rarely repeats.

Reserve the car for your test date.

Test slots at Pakenham book out. Call as soon as you have your date and we will hold the car.
